1. Race Progressions to the Semi Final for Canoe Slalom ICF competitions
In 2010 a new system to qualify for Canoe Slalom World Cups has been introduced which applies an Athlete Quota for each National Federation. The Federations qualified their quota allocation in the 2009 racing season.
The maximum quota a Federation may qualify (and enter) is 5 and the minimum 1 per category. Please see Appendix 1 for the 2010 allocation.
Following a consultation process and to afford greater access for Federations to the semi final under the new world cup quota system, the Canoe Slalom Committee has determined the progression to the semi final for World Championships, all World Cups and ICF Ranking races as follows;
Men K1 – 40
Women K1 – 30
Men C1 – 30
Women C1 – 20
Men C2 – 20
The progression to the Final will remain the same at 10 boats for each category.
